HOUSTON, Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Houston trial law firm Hicks Thomas LLP is pleased to announce that firm partner Stewart Hoffer has become Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

To earn board certification, Mr. Hoffer achieved specific requirements set forth by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and passed a day-long written examination covering all aspects of civil trial law in Texas state and federal courts. He is one of just 11 attorneys in the state to earn the distinction in 2011, and fewer than 2 percent of Texas attorneys are Board Certified in Civil Trial Law.

Mr. Hoffer represents clients in complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, labor and employment disputes, trade secret claims and other general civil litigation matters. He is AV Peer Rated by Martindale Hubbell, and has earned a spot on the annual Texas Super Lawyers listing each year since 2003.
