Houston Law Firm Helps Feed the Hunger
HOUSTON, Nov. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Thanksgiving is the time of year that families come together to celebrate. And, there are many families that use this time of year to help others less-fortunate than themselves. Compassion Katy, a Houston-based organization, sponsored a three-day pack-a-thon aimed at reducing hunger throughout the world and meeting its goal of packing 1,000,000 meals in support of Feed the Hunger, an international relief agency.
The staff of Houston Attorney Terry Bryant's office participated in the pack-a-thon. "Our staff and their families were able to pack over 9,500 meals that will be shipped to Haiti in the next few weeks through Feed the Hunger," said Terry Bryant. "Each team works in two-hour shifts and the six-member team from our firm packed enough food to feed 40 children for an entire year," Bryant continued.
Feed the Hunger is an international agency that sponsors pack-a-thons throughout the country to help provide nutritious food and clean water to the needy. Each box includes an assortment of rice, vegetables, vitamins, and pinto beans.
