Houston Attorney Mark Lanier Receives 2016 Texas Tech Distinguished Alumni Award

HOUSTON, March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Acclaimed trial lawyer Mark Lanier of The Lanier Law Firm was honored on Feb. 26 as one of three recipients of the 2016 Distinguished Alumni Awards presented by Texas Tech University. The annual reception and dinner drew hundreds of alumni, faculty and university administrators.

Also honored were Laura Nieto, Senior Manager of Community Affairs for Southwest Airlines, and playwright Jaston Williams, best known as the co-author of the Greater Tuna series of comedic plays.

Mr. Lanier earned his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1984. He currently serves on the Law School's Foundation Board and received its Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2005.
