HotSchedules Appoints Elizabeth Sartin Chief Product Officer
Former Match.com executive to focus on end user community and data analytics across the HotSchedules portfolio
AUSTIN, Texas, May 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- HotSchedules®, a leading provider of mobile technology for the restaurant and hospitality industries, has named Elizabeth Sartin Chief Product Officer (CPO). Formerly CPO at Match.com Europe, Sartin brings more than fifteen years of management and product experience in Fortune 500 and 1000 companies. She will oversee product design, development, SaaS operations, and big data across the HotSchedules portfolio. A consumer technology specialist, Sartin will focus on community and data analytics among HotSchedules' end users.
Sartin joins HotSchedules from Match.com Europe (Meetic), a member of the IAC portfolio, which includes Tinder, Vimeo, About.com, and other well-known technology companies. As CPO based in Paris, Sartin reenergized Meetic's product experience and subscription model and ultimately grew the company's market share in Europe. Earlier in her career with IAC, Sartin led the acquisition of Yahoo Personals and the migration of its user base into the Match.com U.S. community.
Prior to joining IAC, Sartin was part of the initial team behind Blockbuster's streaming service - a Netflix competitor - and held roles with Lycos Inc., Boston Beer Company, and Brook Mays Music Company. A thought leader on digital communities, Sartin organized a 2012 SXSW panel, "Multiple Personalities – Not a Disorder but the Norm," with colleagues from Tripit, LinkedIn, and Spych Market Analytics. The well-regarded panel explored social media personas and the effects of user self-presentation and data sharing.
A Texas native, Sartin earned her MBA and Master's in Information Science from Boston University. She completed her B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
"HotSchedules was an irresistible opportunity because it's the only technology platform that can provide an end-to-end experience for the restaurant industry," said Sartin. "No other company is so well-positioned to provide a full-spectrum technology solution for restaurant owners and managers as well as build an end-user community to foster opportunities at the employee level. In addition to solving tough business problems, we can build products that help millions of restaurant employees and owners achieve their long-term goals. To me, that is meaningful work."
"Elizabeth's understanding of digital community and data analytics is second to none," said Anthony Lye, CEO of HotSchedules. "Our ability to provide valuable data to our customers is still largely untapped, and Elizabeth had a vision for using community and user analytics in ways we would have never considered. We knew we needed her on our team, and we're proud to formally welcome her."
