Hotline Provides One-On-One Help To Get the Best Lawn and Yard Ever

MILWAUKEE, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Anyone who wants the grass to grow greener on their side of the fence or is simply stumped over a lawn and garden issue can turn to the Yard Smarts Hotline this spring for a personal consultation on what to do and how to do it right – without spending a lot of time or money.

Staffed by lawn, garden and equipment experts, the annual hotline is sponsored by Briggs & Stratton Corporation, which makes engines for a variety of outdoor power equipment.  

From May 1-31, anyone can get a free on-line or phone consultation with an expert on their particular problem by visiting YardSmarts.com or calling 1-866-YARD-TIPS (1-866-927-3847).

The hotline team will answer any-and-all questions, ranging from how to control Japanese Beetles or how to win the battle against weeds to troubleshooting a lawn mower that won't start. 

"We'll help everyone who calls and take as long as necessary to get the homeowner the answers they need," says Trey Rogers, Ph.D., the Briggs & Stratton Yard Doctor, an internationally known expert on lawn and yard care and leader of the hotline.

Every Friday during the month of May from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. CT on May 4, 11, 18 and 25, experts will be available for live chats to share information more broadly with homeowners.  Photo submissions are welcome if it is a difficult problem to describe.
