The average Price Drop refund is around $52.
The highest Price Drop refund ever given is $2,851 on a stay in the Seychelles.
The largest percentage of a reservation ever refunded is 91% on a one-night stay in Reno, NV.
The greatest number of Price Drops any one reservation has ever had is 26 on a four-night stay in Tokyo.

"If I had to guess, I'd say that a very small percentage of consumers check to see if their hotel room has gone down in price after they book, and if they do, they do it only once," said spokesman George Hobica. "People are just too busy. But they're paying more than they should. Tingo does the work for them automatically, and consumers are $1 million richer as a result."

How It Works

Tingo gets travelers the best hotel rates possible. If someone else is offering a lower price at the time of booking, the site will match it!
If a hotel drops its rate after a traveler has booked a Price Drop room, the site will lock in the lower rate and refund the difference to the booking credit card—automatically.
Tingo also alerts travelers when better rooms become available for less than what they originally paid so they can take advantage of free upgrades.
Travelers have the highest chance of getting a Price Drop refund in Las Vegas, followed by New York City and Atlantic City.
