Horne Engineering Services, LLC Receives GSA Contract Award for Information Technology Professional Services
FAIRFAX, Va., May 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Horne Engineering Services, LLC (OTCBB: HNIN), a wholly owned subsidiary of Horne International, Inc., announced that it has been awarded a GSA Schedule 70 contract effective April 15th, 2011. This contract allows Horne Engineering Services to provide federal customers with high-value Lean and Agile software development process solutions and provides a foundation from which Horne will offer additional Information Technology related services and solutions through the GSA Schedule 70 in the future.
Horne will be offering solutions from ThoughtWorks Studios on the GSA Schedule 70. Currently, Horne International is the only distributor authorized to sell ThoughtWorks products to the federal government. Horne and ThoughtWorks are working together to provide the federal enterprise with a solution that addresses the need for highly reliable, short-cycle delivery of mission critical IT systems. Lean and Agile processes are a proven, superior approach to delivering high-quality systems in less time and more cost effectively than traditional approaches.
Additional IT related services, solutions, and products will be added to Horne's GSA Schedule 70 in the future as our solution portfolio is enhanced and expanded. This will encompass traditional IT support services as well as solution engineering, program management, and product reselling. These offerings will further enhance Horne International's core focus areas of engineering, energy and environment by enabling Horne to offer customers complete program lifecycle management and robust solutions.
