BALTIMORE, Jan. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hopkins Medical Products now offers a state-of-the-art Portable Wireless Wheelchair Scale with a 1200lb capacity. It is the first easily portable wheelchair scale in the United States that allows clinicians to go to the patient, saving unnecessary and expensive patient transportation costs. The new Portable Wireless Wheelchair Scale from Hopkins Medical Products uses four small sensor pads, each weighing less than 3 lbs. A weighing pad is placed in front of each wheel of the chair and then the chair is pushed onto the pads. Patient weight is immediately displayed and stored on the wireless controller, all without compromising patient comfort or stability. Weight data can be downloaded from the controller to a PC or laptop via a mini-USB cable.
