NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hope4Souls (www.hope4souls.org), a division of Soles4Souls that provides relief to individuals after natural disasters, responded this week to the state of emergency declared in several small towns in North Carolina and Virginia as millions deal with loss of power and flooding damage from Hurricane Irene. The storm caused major damage in some towns as it ripped down power lines and flooded rivers and streams in communities as far north as Vermont. Hope4Souls, along with Operation Compassion, tailored the relief response to include bottled drinking water, ready-made meals, and other supplies in towns like Warsaw, Virginia and Jackson, North Carolina that were harder hit because of lack of resources.
