H.O.P.E. Team Named a Mutual of America 2013 Community Partnership Award Winner

NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mutual of America announced today that Help and Outreach to Protect the Elderly Team (HOPE Team) was named a Merit Finalist in the 2013 Community Partnership Award competition.

In 2009, HOPE Team was created as a partnership between the San Diego County District Attorney's Office and Center for Community Solutions (CCS) to bring justice and awareness to the growing issue of elder abuse. Since its founding in 1969, CCS has been a leading advocate in the battle to end relationship and sexual violence.

Staffed by a multidisciplinary team that includes legal, law enforcement and social services professionals, each year HOPE Team provides client-centered legal and advocacy services to more than 250 victims of elder abuse.
