CARNEGIE, Pa., March 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Once again, The Salvation Army Homewood Worship and Service Center is stepping up to the plate to be a part of the solution. The organization has slated a College Fair for Saturday, March 23rd from 1:00 pm through 3:00 pm at its 8020 Frankstown Avenue facility. Everything from technical schools to universities will be represented at this potentially life changing event.

"We welcome everyone in the Homewood community to take part in this important fair," said Major Mark Mackneer, The Salvation Army's Allegheny County Coordinator. "In addition to the College Fair, our Homewood Worship and Service Center routinely offers job skills and other support training. This facility provides valuable resources for area families and we encourage everyone to take advantage of them."
Schools participating in the College Fair include: The Art Institute of Pittsburgh; Bidwell Training Center; Bradford School; Carlow University; California University; Community College of Allegheny County; Chatham University; Duquesne University; Edinboro University; Everest Institute; Geneva College; Grove City College; Indiana University of Pennsylvania; ITT Tech; La Roche College; Penn State University; Pittsburgh Institute of Technology; University of Pittsburgh; Point Park University; Robert Morris University; Slippery Rock University; The College Net Work; Theil College; and Triangle Tech.

In addition to exposing families to educational opportunities, the center also offers employment resources, providing computer and internet access, and teaching resume writing and interviewing skills."
