Honor Your Mother By Helping A Mother In Need - Feed Her Family This Mother's Day
Feeding America's Give A Meal Promotion Seeks to Provide Millions of Meals to Families at Risk
CHICAGO, May 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Millions of families across the United States will find themselves short of food this Mother's Day holiday, Sunday, May 13.
Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization, encourages everyone to honor their own mother this Mother's Day, by giving back to others by donating to Feeding America.
"Feeding America and our member food banks work for mothers across the country every day. With your help we can all make someone's holiday more special," said Vicki Escarra, president and CEO of Feeding America, "When you donate a gift to our organization, you are doing more than helping provide meals. You are sending hope and joy families that are struggling to make ends meet."
Every dollar donated to Feeding America helps provide the equivalent of eight meals to families in need. A gift of at least $45 can provide nearly a month's worth of meals to a family of four.
To help provide meals to those in need, a Feeding America supporter needs to simply fill out a brief online donation form at www.feedingamerica.org/giveameal indicating the amount of funds they wish to provide and the name of the person the wish to honor. Feeding America will then send an "e-note" acknowledgment to whomever they designate when an online donation is made.
CMT and TLC are official partners of Feeding America's Give A Meal for Mother's Day campaign.
