Honeywell Burdick & Jackson Expands LabReady Blends Line with New Solid-Liquid Chemical Blends
New products can eliminate manual blending, help laboratories save time and reduce waste
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J., June 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today it has expanded its Burdick & Jackson® LabReady® Blends line of commercial research chemicals to include new blends that are designed to improve efficiency in laboratories.
These new blends can improve productivity by as much as 25 percent by eliminating the need to blend solids and liquids in the lab. This reduces time and waste and avoids potential safety hazards associated with blending chemicals manually.
In addition, LabReady Blends are made using an automated process that eliminates the formulation errors that occur with manual blending.
"Burdick & Jackson pioneered the technology to purify research chemicals more than 50 years ago, and now we offer a complete line of high-purity commercial blends," said Jeremy Diringer, marketing manager for Honeywell Burdick & Jackson. "By switching to LabReady Blends, laboratories can completely eliminate the productivity losses and other hidden costs associated with manual blending."
The new blends benefit from Burdick & Jackson's proprietary closed-loop manufacturing system, which blends solid and liquid chemicals in a fully-sealed environment. This system is designed to provide laboratories with the high levels of consistency and purity required for sensitive scientific processes, such as drug development and quality testing.
The new blends combine Burdick & Jackson high-purity solvents with a variety of components, including pH buffers, salts, acids and bases. A wide range of packaging options, from glass bottles to bulk containers, are available to meet laboratory or production needs.
Honeywell Burdick & Jackson has provided high-quality research chemicals and supplies to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries for more than 50 years. It maintains laboratories and production facilities in Muskegon, Michigan; Seelze, Germany; and Shanghai, China.
