Honey: The Ultimate All-Natural Skin Moisturizer
Skin Care Expert to the Stars Shares Honey Beauty Recipes for a Radiant Appearance
FIRESTONE, Colo., Nov. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Flawless, glowing skin like Lala Vazquez. Kissable, soft lips a la Zoe Saldana. Every woman wants them, and they're not afraid to spend thousands of dollars on beauty and skin care products to get them. As temperatures drop, chilly, dry conditions can take a toll on a woman's skin and lips. Skin care expert Jackie Gomez, the "beauty architect" behind many of today's leading singers and Hollywood actors says you, too, can look like her A-list clients by using natural beauty treatments with honey, which helps keep skin hydrated no matter the season. Gomez is partnering with the National Honey Board (NHB) to show that consumers don't need to pay for expensive treatments to maintain healthy skin and soft and supple lips all year-round.
"The superstar, secret ingredient to beautiful skin and lips is honey," says Gomez, whose roster of clients includes Beyonce Knowles and Solange Knowles. "Honey's properties make it an ideal, do-it-yourself beauty ingredient. Not only is it a great all-natural moisturizer for skin, but you'll also spend a fraction of the cost and look like a million dollars."
Gomez teamed up with the NHB to create honey-based beauty treatments that will keep the skin hydrated. Her recipes include a face mask, full body treatment and a lip scrub so that women, and even men, can look polished from head to toe. Honey's natural hydrating qualities nourish the skin to reveal a natural glow.
"We all strive for moisturized skin, especially during winter months," said Catherine Barry, Director of Marketing for the National Honey Board. "Honey is your skin's best friend because it is a humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture. By developing homemade beauty recipes with honey, we are demonstrating the various ways that honey can be used for skin care treatments, whether it's for the lips, face, hands or even feet and scalp."
Honey is nature's moisturizer and an effective moisturizer is essential to give your skin a healthy glow. With so many available treatments these days, honey-based beauty treatments are cost-effective and easy to prepare.
For this winter season, Jackie Gomez shares her favorite honey-based recipes that are both affordable and easy to make at home. Enjoy natural, radiant skin during the holidays with these lavish beauty recipes:
