Honda/Tohatsu Outboard Sales Business Agreement Statement

LONDON, July 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

Honda Motor Company today announced that it has entered into an agreement to supply Tohatsu Corporation with Honda outboard engines, from 60 horsepower through to 250 horsepower. These will be for sale globally under the Tohatsu brand name and Tohatsu product styling.

Martin Sanders, General Manager of Honda Motor Europe Power Equipment stated,
"This link is not a new one with Tohatsu, Honda Marine has a historical business relationship with Tohatsu in Japan and co-operational relationship with dealers in the USA. This new agreement is an extension of that existing relationship.  This initiative will provide an opportunity to expand and strengthen Honda`s Marine business, supporting our future operations."

Sales will begin in 2014, when Tohatsu branded Honda outboards will be sold and serviced via the Tohatsu dealer network in a number of countries globally.
