Honda of America Mfg., Inc. Spotlights Auto Quality Engineer in Video Series
MARYSVILLE, Ohio, June 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Honda unveiled the newest associate profile in its 12-part What Makes a Honda is Who Makes a Honda video series. Sandip Suvedi is a mechanical engineer in the Auto Quality Department of the Marysville Auto Plant and an active member of the Columbus Idea Foundry.
The seven-year veteran of Honda has been primarily focused on the durability, repeatability and quality of Acura products and is also part of the team working on the new Acura NSX.
"At Honda, we are always problem solving and working as a team to make high quality products for our customers," said Suvedi. "I'm proud to showcase our creative process and the little details that make a career in manufacturing so rewarding."
In addition to his work with Honda, Suvedi is active with the Columbus Idea Foundry, a community workshop, learning center and creative space, located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The facility provides access and training on tools and technology that include woodworking, metalworking, welding, plasma cutting, CNC machines and digital arts software.
"I think it's important to have a creative outlet, just for the sake of thinking differently," said Suvedi. "There is a lot of focus on the importance of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) education. Working at Honda and also having the chance to explore new creative outlets at the Idea Foundry is a perfect example of putting these integrated principles into practice."
The What Makes a Honda is Who Makes a Honda video series focuses on Honda's commitment to innovation, inclusion, a youthful spirit and respect for the individual – core tenets of Honda's approach to business that work equally well in the community. In addition, the videos spotlight the diverse career opportunities that exist within Honda, while also showcasing inspiring ways these associates engage in their communities.
