EXETER, N.H., April 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hon. Roberta C. Pevear is recognized by Continental Who's Who with the Lifetime Achievement award in the field of Writing and Genealogy. Roberta, the Co-Author of the book Write Quick: War and A Woman's Life in Letters 1835-1867, has a Proposal prepared for HEARTACHE: A Woman and the Civil War, a documentary film, about this timeless story.

Upon her retirement after spending over thirty years in business administration and law before serving as a New Hampshire State Representative, Roberta has decided to change courses and has taken her professionalism to writing and filmmaking. She is the proud co-author of Write Quick: War and A Woman's Life in Letters 1835-1867, a nonfiction story, which provides a captivating and compelling glimpse into the reality of a Union woman's life during the Civil War.

Throughout the novel, Roberta uses and transcribes 150-year-old letters exchanged between her great-grandfather and great-grandmother during the Civil War. Due to the success of the story, the book has been placed into the State House Library in Concord, New Hampshire, and the Daughters of the American Revolution Library in Washington, D.C., as well.

The Proposal shows Roberta as Executive Producer, Peter Hamilton as Consultant, and Mark Kilbaine as Development Producer. Lead Actors have expressed intent, and Voiceover talent has been approached.

Eliza Bean's tale of hardship and heartache, fortune and fortitude, fills a chasm in the historical canon, exploring how women also suffered during the Civil War.

"HEARTACHE" is a story of lovers robbed of their futures by tragically dying young. Two young people ripped apart by fate, whose love remained till their tragic ends: He by piercing bullet, she by wasting disease. This is a timeless and tragic real-life story, which Roberta hopes to, ultimately, see made available to schools for teaching the role of women in Civil War History.
