HON Announces Launch Of CET Designer Extension
MUSCATINE, Iowa, Sept. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The HON Company is excited to announce enhanced design and specification tools with the launch of a CET Designer Extension. Used by thousands of people globally, CET Designer helps manufacturers and their dealers by providing a compelling software solution for space planning and product ordering. This new technology solution aligns HON with leading design and space planning solutions, thereby better serving our customers.
With HON's continued focus and development of our Configure to Order business, significant investments have been made to enhance our design and specification tools. These tools, such as CET Designer, Revit, and SketchUp, demonstrate our persistent dedication to support our dealers and dealer designers.

CET Designer is Configura's "core" Parametric Graphical Configuration (PGC)-based software platform; an Extension is an addition to the program with functionality that incorporates all of the rules, parts and pricing of a given manufacturer's products. HON's full product offering is now within a CET Designer Extension with new Smart Symbols for HON Systems Abound and Accelerate. Additionally, HON has invested in Revit by developing 2300 key symbols and 450 SketchUp symbols with more planned shortly.
Through this Extension, HON will greatly improve our customer's experience. Users will be able to drag and drop selected components into a layout that functions with HON's model numbers, pricing, and rules for valid configuration. These "Intelligent products" know how to behave, thereby eliminating possible errors or misconfigurations.
