Hometown Self Storage adds U-Haul after Name, Ownership Change

AZLE, Texas, Feb. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hometown Self Storage, which came under new ownership and changed its name last August, has signed on to be a U-Haul® neighborhood dealer.

Hometown Self Storage at 1648 Northwest Pkwy., previously known as Your Safe Self Storage, takes over a facility that has been in operation since 1984.

Property manager Shellie Tidwell noted that the previous owners carried U-Haul products for about 10 years. Hometown Self Storage owners Alex Smith and Mason Green decided to renew that partnership with U-Haul because it was great for business and provided a needed service to the Azle community.

Hometown Self Storage is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. It offers U-Haul trucks, trailers and towing equipment, support rental items, in-store pick-up for boxes and after-hours drop-off.

Tidwell said the addition of more U-Haul trucks and trailers to Hometown Self Storage as helped the company increase customer traffic and create more opportunities for its primary business.

Hometown Self Storage is one of two U-Haul dealers in Azle, located 17 miles northwest of Fort Worth. Hometown Self Storage is the only self-storage facility in the area that has climate-controlled units, according to Tidwell.
