Homes, office buildings, land in seven states set for auction

ATLANTA, Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Office and retail buildings, land, homes, a motel and scores of home sites will be offered in John Dixon & Associates' final major Multi-Seller auction of 2015. The real estate will sell in two auctions -- Dec. 1 in Marietta, Georgia, and Dec. 2 in Jacksonville, Florida.

"The banks, investors and others want to get this real estate off their books by the end of the year, so they've consigned some high quality assets," said John Dixon, president of the auction company.

The auctions will include properties from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The first event, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, will include the former Southern Wicker & Interiors store, a 15,300-square-foot retail space in North Columbus. "This is a beautiful facility in a great location, a couple of blocks from Target, Publix and other high-profile stores," said Dixon. "We also have a motel in Vidalia currently operating as the Inn at Vidalia. A mobile home park in Athens will be another great opportunity," he added.

The auction will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 at the John Dixon & Associates offices at 200 Cobb Parkway North, Suite 120, in Marietta.

The second auction event will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at the Doubletree Hotel, 2101 Dixie Clipper Drive, Jacksonville, Florida.

"The Wednesday event will feature seven developed commercial lots in Savannah, along with 43 partially developed acres. We'll also be selling an office building in Brunswick, Georgia, a three-unit commercial building in Jacksonville, and an office building in Jacksonville," said Dixon.

The Jacksonville auction will include about eight homes, including a couple in Jacksonville, and several others in Florida, the Carolinas and in Tifton, Georgia.
