Homes, condominiums and land to sell in back-to-back John Dixon & Associates auctions

ATLANTA, April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Homes, townhomes, condominiums, commercial property and even waterfront development land will be among approximately 90 properties selling in a pair of auctions April 23-24, with John Dixon & Associates managing both sales.

"We really couldn't fit all these properties into a single day, so we'll spread it over two days. Between the two days, we'll have a lot of variety – not just in Georgia, but spreading from Gainesville, Fla., to Asheville, N.C. to Tuscaloosa, Ala.," said John Dixon, president of the auction company.

One highlight of the properties offered in the first sale will be a group of 12 townhomes in Jackson, Ga., along with another 42 lots for additional townhomes. "These townhomes, built in 2007, include three- and four-bedroom units that are already occupied, so the new owner will have a certain income stream from the outset," said Dixon. Other high-profile properties include a multi-tenant office condominium in East Point, Ga., and a condominium in Tallahassee.

On the second day, Dixon said he anticipates considerable interest in three properties fronting on the Tallapoosa River, headwaters of Lake Martin, in Dadeville, Ala. "These properties – which will sell absolute – have 106, 20.7 and 22.5 acres, respectively, so it's a great chance for someone to build their dream riverfront home or perhaps obtain land as an investment," he said. "In the same session, we'll be selling several homes, a condominium in Athens, Ga., a commercial building in LaGrange, Ga., and a former auto service facility in Macon. That's a very wide variety of properties," said Dixon.

Most of the properties are currently owned by lenders, Dixon said.
