Homeowners Urge New York City Council To Lead The Way For Affordable, Quality Housing

WHY:  NYSAFAH is the trade association representing contractors in the affordable housing industry.  This morning's event is an opportunity for the new chairman of the New York City Council Housing Committee, Jumaane Williams, to meet and discuss the City Council's plans to build affordable housing. We are urging Chairman Williams, who has a long history of being a staunch advocate for high-quality affordable housing, to raise the important concerns and issues that the affordable housing industry faces. While affordable housing is clearly one of the highest priorities for all New Yorker we need to work together to weed out the bad players whose poor quality and worker abuses endanger our shared mission of building quality affordable housing for all New Yorkers.
