Homecoming for the Holidays: Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center and Senior Crimestoppers Reunite Mother and Daughter for the Holidays
BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Dec. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- This holiday season, many people are traveling to visit family and friends both near and far. Unfortunately, for some this is not a possibility due to medical issues. This year, Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater teamed up with Senior Crimestoppers to reunite a mother and daughter who had not seen each other in over a year.
Lucille is a resident at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center located in Bridgewater, NJ. Her daughter, Violet, lives in a different post-acute care facility in New Jersey. Because of the distance and medical conditions, Lucille has not been able to physically see her daughter. This month, she was given the opportunity to do so. www.BridgewaySeniorCare.com
By teaming up with Senior Crimestoppers who generously supplied a "Wishes Come True" donation, Bridgeway was able to transport Lucille the 30 miles to visit her daughter and enjoy a catered lunch. Bridgeway staff accompanied Lucille on her journey to assist her with comfort. The visit also gave Lucille the occasion to give her daughter a Christmas gift. www.seniorcrimestoppers.org
Her daughter, Violet, was overjoyed about the holiday visit. "I was very surprised and thrilled that Bridgeway was able to put it together, I missed her so much. It was wonderful to see her." Bridgeway also provided a frame for Violet to keep with her and took plenty of photos to help fill it.
