"We are very excited to be in the Twin Cities," said Peter Simons, CEO of HomeAid America. "The BATC Foundation has an incredible track record of helping the building industry give back to the community in Minneapolis-St. Paul. With the creation of a HomeAid chapter within this Foundation, their work will be able to attain an even broader base of success."
Perri Graham-Raff, Executive Director of the BATC Foundation, said, "There is a great need to address the rising homeless population in the Twin Cities area, and BATC members want to give back to our community by doing what we do best: building housing. We are proud to join HomeAid in its nationwide effort to build housing facilities for charities helping the homeless in our area."
As part of HomeAid's national network of chapters, the BATC Foundation will have the resources to obtain donated building products for its charity projects. It will also have access to national grants and publicity, a deep network of chapter resources, and a myriad of other benefits. David Siegel, Executive Director of BATC said, "We're thrilled to partner with HomeAid. Providing homes and shelter is what our members do. Lending a hand to assist the homeless in our community is a natural fit for BATC and our Foundation."
