The company has committed to donate in-kind product at a substantial discount to HomeAid built facilities throughout the country, thereby greatly reducing the cost to build. Both Delta® and Peerless® branded products are included in the commitment which will be installed in HomeAid shelter projects built for charities working with the homeless.
HomeAid, a building industry-based charity with chapters in 16 markets across the country, has built more than 400 multi-unit housing projects in its 26 year history, helping to house 220,000 previously-homeless Americans. In the United States, more than 3.5 million people experience homelessness each year, of whom 80 percent are women, children and families who experience a life-altering event such as job loss, abuse, natural disaster or medical condition. Every HomeAid shelter project includes support services to help residents move toward self-sufficiency, such as education and job skills training, financial counseling, physical and emotional support and much more.
"Delta Faucet Company's incredibly generous contribution of in-kind product will help our service providers reduce their capital expenses and enable more funding to be allocated towards client programs and direct resources for their residents," said Peter Simons, CEO of HomeAid America. "Delta's in-kind partnership program will strengthen HomeAid's ability to leverage much needed resources for homeless families and individuals as they reclaim their self-sufficiency."
"We are honored to partner with HomeAid America and offer Delta and Peerless product in-kind to support 2016 projects in effort to help end homelessness in America," said Jon Dartt, vice president of sales for Delta Faucet Company, who recently joined HomeAid America's national board of directors. "Personally, I am honored to join the HomeAid Board to help as the organization continues to make impactful and important strides forward."
