WALTHAM, Mass., Jan. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- This month's Pro Teck Valuation Services Home Value Forecast analyzes housing data and other important factors to determine who the frontrunner community may be on Amazon's shortlist for HQ2.
Looking at all 20 finalists on the list of finalists recently announced by Amazon, this month's HVF has determined that the new frontrunner may actually be Northern Virginia — potentially in the Fairfax, VA, area, the home of Amazon Web Services HQ2.
Pro Teck's analysis shows this community may be well-positioned to receive the 50,000 new jobs expected with HQ2. Not only does the area have a promising housing market and well-educated workforce, but it is also in close proximity to the Washington, D.C., home of Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos.
"Today, assuming a geographic preference for the D.C. metro, we now believe Bezos will settle HQ2 in the Fairfax, VA, area," said Tom O'Grady, CEO of Pro Teck Valuation Services. "It already has been chosen as Amazon Web Services HQ2 — might as well make it HQ2.2."
