Home Properties' New Jersey Communities Recognized for Excellence

ISELIN, N.J., Dec. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Home Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HME) today announced its New Jersey communities have been recognized with a total of 11 awards, seven at the property level and four in individual categories, at the 20^th annual Garden State Awards program as presented by the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA).

"What makes these awards particularly impressive for Home Properties is there were 300 nominations initially submitted by apartment communities throughout the entire state," said Brent Kohere, Regional Vice President for Home Properties and President of NJAA. "That 300 gets narrowed down to finalists for judging, and multiple communities are awarded in each category for excellence in New Jersey's multi-family apartment industry."

At the property level, Home Properties was recognized in the categories of Excellence in Property Management (Pleasure Bay Apartments) and Excellence in Curb Appeal (Barrington Gardens, Hackensack Gardens, Lakeview Apartments, Northwood Apartments, Pleasure Bay Apartments, and Pleasant View Gardens). Home Properties also had four individuals awarded for excellence:  Service Technician Lucas Grande Kegal (Pleasant View Gardens); Leasing Consultant Cassandra Lazazzaro (Barrington Gardens); Service Manager Roger Alston (Pleasant View Gardens); and Property Manager Amira Valjevac (Northwood Apartments).
