Home Properties' Mount Vernon Square Apartments Recognized for Outstanding Curb Appeal

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Home Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HME) today announced that Mount Vernon Square Apartments, located in Alexandria, Va., has received a 2013 Mary Thonen Beautification Award, presented annually by the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation (SFDC). For more than a decade, the SFDC has honored commercial property owners along the Richmond Highway/U.S. Route 1 for extraordinary beautification efforts that make the Richmond Highway corridor a more attractive place to live and work.

Mount Vernon Square Apartments offers 1,387 apartments and has maintained an attractive presence along the desirable U.S. Route 1 corridor in Alexandria, Va. The SFDC judging team took pictures of several businesses in that area, unbeknownst to the businesses, to determine award winners for 2013.
