More than 500 North Texas residents are expected to attend The Potter's House of Fort Worth's annual Family Fest. A fun and kid-friendly event safe for the entire community, Family Fest will expose locals to theatrical plays, art, educational vendors and crafts as an alternative to Halloween. It is an event geared toward bringing all families, cultures and socio-economic classes together. |

WHY/ BACKGROUND: Since inception, The Potter's House of Fort Worth has worked diligently to make a difference in the Fort Worth community, including providing haircuts to students returning to school, school supply giveaways and other ongoing aid to the underserved. The Family Fest is another avenue to give back and serve the community. In addition to the Family Fest, The Potter's House of Fort Worth, in partnership with the Tarrant Area Food Bank, will host a "Day of Thanksgiving" on November 21. Beginning at 9 a.m., the two organizations will give away fresh produce, toiletries and food to hundreds of families in the community. "Day of Thanksgiving" will be free and open to the public.
