Holiday Shopping Season Launches as National Small Business Trends Upward

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Maria Contreras-Sweet, is launching into a week of encouraging Americans across the country to shop small on November 29th as part of Small Business Saturday, a day that is dedicated to supporting the small businesses that anchor our local communities and strengthen our economy.

The weekend after Thanksgiving is the busiest shopping weekend of the year, and so many small businesses rely on the holiday shopping period to ensure a successful year on the books.
