These donations were for the specific, listed needs of military families and were in addition to general donations to Operation Homefront. The organization's website, OperationHomefront.net, allows anyone to see what kind of help specific military families need, and donate part or all of the money needed to fill those needs.
"The American people have shown time and again that they want to help our military families, but they don't always know how," said Jim Knotts, President and CEO of Operation Homefront. "By going to OperationHomefront.net, you can find a service member or family that needs help this holiday season and make a donation to meet that need."
Since December 1:
- 115 needs totaling $135,432 have been listed at OperationHomefront.net and fulfilled.
- About 189 individuals have donated to our current needs.
- The smallest donation was $5 toward one need.
