"At Hoggan Scientific, it is our belief that integrity is everything and we work hard to create innovative products that improve the lives of our clients. The updated ergoFET gauge allows ergonomists, engineers, and other industry professionals the ability to quickly and easily obtain data on important pull push tests. In addition to standard output measurements, we have added new information including the average force of the test and the sustained force. We believe this will help improve industry ergonomic force evaluation assessments as well as strength assessments for medical professionals," said Cynthia McKenna, Director of Sales at Hoggan Scientific.
The wireless ergoFET force gauge features a compact, ergonomic design, 300-pound force capacity, and easy-to-read LCD windows with brightness control, which displays peak force and duration in seconds. The device also boasts the ability to measure force from multiple directions at once and can hold up to 30 tests, and the unit of measure can be selected to read in pounds, Newtons, and kilogram-force. In addition to the handheld design making testing easier, it also allows to more closely simulate actual job tasks. This, along with its low and high threshold settings for extended sensitivity and accuracy within 1% of full scale, make it ideal for small to medium force load tension and compression tests.
The updated version of the ergoFET device also includes new information that was not previously available including average force of test; average force after peak force is reach; and area under the curve. These new additions improve the functionality of the product, allowing users to objectively measure and quantify human and product performance. These new abilities make the gauge well suited for the ergonomists and engineers in industrial manufacturing industries as well as for use in the medical community by physical therapists, athletic trainers, and sports medicine professionals.
Hoggan Scientific offers this product in a convenient kit that includes the ergoFET push pull gauge, a flat and a curved transducer pad, a 16" strap with D rings, two hook attachments for pull tests, a one hand handle, 4" extension rod, user manual, calibration certificate, and a carrying case. The device also comes with a standard one year warranty, which includes parts and labor, free calibration and shipping, and technical support. Customers can also choose to add Hoggan Scientific's optional data collection software, which is compatible with Windows operating systems XP or newer. The software simultaneously captures raw data while displaying a real-time graph, via wireless RF from the ergoFET gauge. The data is saved in comma-separated format, which allows it to be opened in most spreadsheet applications.
