Teamsters President Says Workers Will Prevail
MADISON, Wis., Feb. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa today addressed a crowd of thousands of working families in the Statehouse Rotunda, urging all workers to stand strong together to defeat the anti-union measures in Wisconsin and in other states.

"An injury to one is an injury to all," Hoffa said. "We are in it for the long haul and we will win this fight. This is going on in Ohio and Indiana and other states. We are all working together to fight this."
Hoffa reminded the crowd that tens of thousands of workers are rallying around the country to support the Wisconsin protesters – and to fight against legislation to weaken protections for working families in dozens of statehouses. Teamsters have joined rallies and protests in state capitals in Ohio, Indiana, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Vermont, Iowa, Massachusetts, Colorado, the District of Columbia and more.
"We all need to work together to achieve victory," Hoffa said. "This movement has swept across the country, uniting all of us."
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has proposed a bill that would severely weaken collective bargaining rights.
