HMP Communications, LLC Adds Two Well-Recognized Brands to Healthcare Portfolio
High expectations for strategic acquisition; Multi-media expansion set for titles
MALVERN, Pa., April 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HMP Communications, a leader in multi-media healthcare communications, has acquired two leading clinical brands: Consultant and Consultant for Pediatricians. In conjunction with the acquisition and to support the brands, HMP Communications will launch a new website, www.consultant360.com. HMP Communications is a division of HMP Holdings (www.hmpholdings.com).
The strategic acquisition significantly enhances HMP Communications' coverage of the healthcare industry. The iconic 50-year-old brands are market-leaders with large circulations in the primary care and pediatric disciplines respectively. Both were acquired from London-based United Business Media Limited; terms were not disclosed.
"We are enthused about the opportunity to extend the equity of these brands by developing and fully leveraging a robust web presence, just as we have done in each of our current brands," said Jeff Hennessy, president and CEO of HMP Holdings. "The new website will be the launch pad for a totally interactive multi-media experience for healthcare professionals visiting the site. It will provide webcasts, showcase relevant videos, link to live events, and other exclusive offerings not possible in a print only format," said Hennessy. The www.consultant360.com website is scheduled to go live in May.
HMP Communications is renowned for supporting print publications with an interactive web presence. "We expect the access to the publications via various smart phone/tablet applications will be welcomed by current subscribers and new users, and see enormous potential for www.consultant360.com to engage unique new visitors."
