As Secretary of Homeland Security, Napolitano leads national efforts to secure the country against threats including terrorism and immigration. Just days ago, President Barack Obama announced that the United States successfully carried out an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda; an announcement that was most welcomed in the United States and around the world. In the one-on-one interview, Suarez and Napolitano will discuss the war on terror, the invasion in Pakistan, the impact on immigration, and what's next regarding national security measures.
Ray Suarez, award-winning broadcast journalist and celebrated author, is also currently the Senior Correspondent for PBS TheNewsHour which he joined in 1999. Prior to his work with The NewsHour, he was host of NPR's nationwide, call-in news program "Talk of the Nation" since 1993.
