HIT Robot Group's 2017 Golden Partner Forum Wraps Up, Fosters and Rewards Innovation in the Robotics Industry

Experts from Harvard University, John Hopkins University and the University of Maryland, along with business leaders from Alibaba, Intel and other investment companies joined the forum to share their experiences in the robotics industry. The incubator program brought by the University of Maryland was also introduced to seek broader cooperation.

Bai Xianglin, Senior Vice President of HRG, delivered keynote speech on the forum and spoke about the importance of close collaboration between Chinese and US-based companies.

He also noted that robotics will play a huge role in technological innovation across many industries and that China will be a key market for the global robotic industry. He said, "The robotics industry has been growing very past in China, and there's enormous market potential in the future for this country."

Roadshow Competition Winners

Ten finalist startups from a series of regional roadshow competitions squared off at the forum, presenting their concepts to a panel of judges. Three winners were selected and will receive investment opportunities and strategic guidance and support from HRG and potential investors.

The top three winners are: Hstar Technologies, the company develop a robotic assistant ValetTM which applies Strker's technology to list and move a person who is unable to get around on his/her own in the nursing home facility or in their own home; Xtretch Eltronics Inc. is a start-up based in Arizona that provides patented stretchy Li-ion battery (LIB) products and other extremely deformable electronic components; and Bito Robotics, which is a Pittsburgh based tech startup aims to developing the next generation of mobile robots for improving productivity in manufacturing and commerce.

The roadshow competition marks a major step forward for HRG as it seeks to play a more active role in fostering innovation. Through this and other initiatives, the company aims to inject vigor and vitality into startups, promoting their incubation and development as well as talent nurturing and support on a global scale.

The event successfully connected startups and investors. James Chen, CEO of iBeeHub, the New York based angel investor, said he and his partner were able to talk with many different startups and also decided to invest in one. 

The 2017 Golden Partner Forum represents HRG's follow-up efforts in implementing its overseas strategy of being a "golden global partner of cooperation." It follows on its participation in two previous events this year, Automatica in Munich, Germany and Automate in Chicago.
