New sizes from 100 to 65-inches make industry-leading picture technology accessible to consumers at every price point
NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hisense, the multinational consumer technology manufacturer and one of the largest television brands in the world, brings its top of the line picture technologies to the big screen by unveiling sizes beyond 65-inches for the first time ever.
Hisense's patented, award-winning ULED™ technology, which enhances color, contrast, black levels, brightness and smooth motion, is now available in even larger screen sizes for a more immersive viewing experience. Hisense is unveiling a new 65-inch H9 series television and a 70-inch H10 series – the largest ULED television sold in the US. This enhanced ULED technology will feature Quantum Dot and Local Dimming in 320 zones.
The new big-screen line-up also includes four new screen sizes for Hisense's best-selling H8 series. Consumers can now experience this award-winning model that offers 4K HDR10 processing and playback at incredible value in 65, 70, 75 and 86-inch screen sizes, as well as the 50 and 55-inch screen sizes that are currently on store shelves.
"At Hisense, we are dedicated to continually pushing the envelope with innovative design, technology and value to the consumer," said Jerry Liu, Chief Executive Officer of Hisense Americas. "It only makes sense that as we continue to grow our presence in the United States, we bring our approach to affordable luxury to the larger screen television categories as well."
Better Pixels, More Colors, Bigger Screen
Protected by 17 patents, ULED technology enhances color, contrast, black level, brightness and smooth motion with a combination of advanced hardware and software. The technology is up to three times brighter than OLED with better dynamic range and perception of black and white.
The 65-inch H9 television, a new screen size in Hisense's entry-level ULED television series is edge-lit and offers multi-zone local dimming, 4K HDR10 streaming and playback, Wide Color Gamut reaching over 83 percent of DCI-P3, UHD upscaling and dbx®-Award-Winning Audio. Content is available from the best 4K streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Video and YouTube.
The 70-inch H10 series brings Hisense's most advanced picture technologies to the largest screen-size yet. With 320 zones of Ultra Black™ Full Array Local Dimming, UHD Premium certified 4K HDR10 streaming and playback, Quantum Dot, Wide Color Gamut and dbx Award winning audio. This television is designed to achieve THX certification so consumers will be able to experience theatre quality entertainment from their living room, just as the director intended. This Smart TV can access the highest quality streaming content from all the best apps including Netflix, Amazon Video and YouTube.
The 65-inch H9 will retail for $1,699.99 and the 70-inch H10 for $3,499.99 and will be available in early 2017.
HDR For Everyone – Sized to Impress
In 2016, Hisense made HDR processing available to all with its affordably priced H8 series in 50 and 55-inches, offering 4K and HDR processing under $500 for the first time ever. The H8 has become Hisense's best-selling and best reviewed model and will now be available in four new screen sizes: 65, 70, 75 and 86 inches.
The new sizes have been upgraded to include 4K HDR10 streaming and playback, including Netflix and YouTube HDR and 4K streaming. The 65 and 75-inch screen sizes are edge-lit and offer multi-zone Local Dimming. The 70 and 86-inch sizes feature direct LED technology and Ultra Black Full Array Local Dimming. Both the 65 and 75-inch screen sizes feature a Pure Color Wide Color Gamut that reaches greater than 83 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum.
The expected retail prices are $999.99, $2499.99, $2999.99 and $5999.99 for the 65, 70, 75 and 86-inches respectively. The 70 and 75-inch screen sizes will be available in December 2016 and the other sizes will go on sale in early 2017.
The Future of Television
For the consumer who is looking for the biggest screen available, only Hisense offers the state-of-the-art 4K Laser TV. The short-throw projector can display a 4K picture that measures 100-inches diagonal.
"As screen sizes get larger, the panels become heavier and more costly to produce. Bringing a 4K panel television of over 100-inches into the home is extremely cost-prohibitive," says Jerry Liu, CEO of Hisense America's. "We believe the future of the big-screen is panel-less, and our 4K Laser TV is evidence that size and picture quality can be more accessible."
The 100-inch 4K Laser TV offers HDR processing along with a UHD Upscaler. It will be available in Summer 2017 for an expected retail price of $12,999.
