Hirtle Callaghan Announces 2016 Investment Leadership Award Recipient: Gloria D. Reeg
PHILADELPHIA, June 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In recognition of her distinguished 40-year investment career, Hirtle Callaghan has presented its 2016 Investment Leadership Award to Gloria Reeg, retiring Chief Investment Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital System. Ms. Reeg accepted the award in a ceremony at the 2016 Hirtle Callaghan Investors' Conference on June 2nd in Philadelphia.

In 2007, Gloria became NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's first Chief Investment Officer. During her tenure, which encompassed the financial crisis – one of the most tumultuous periods in investment history – NewYork-Presbyterian's investment assets grew to $7 billion. Prior to NewYork-Presbyterian, Gloria worked as Head of Fixed Income for Principal Global Investor where she supervised an $80 billion Fixed Income portfolio. Before that, she was a Managing Director of Global Consulting for the Russell Investment Group where she was responsible for serving clients around the world with assets totaling over $1 trillion.
Gloria began her consulting career in 1975, a year after the establishment of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin and her MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
Since 1994, Hirtle Callaghan has awarded its annual Investment Leadership Award to an individual who represents the highest standards of the investment industry. Some past recipients include David Booth, founder of Dimensional Funds Advisors; Harvard University's John Y Campbell; Charles D.
