Hiram G. Andrews Center Hosts Eighth Annual Career and Transition Fair
HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center is hosting its eighth annual Career and Transition Fair in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
The Career and Transition Fair is being held today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will introduce high school students, transition specialists, special education teachers and parents to the Commonwealth Technical Institute's programming designed to meet the needs of students in transition from high school to postsecondary education.
Tours of the Hiram G. Andrews Center facility will be available, as well as displays of the state-of-the-art technology and equipment on which CTI students are trained. Exhibits by CTI training programs and support services will be presented during the fair, and staff and students will be available to answer questions.
The Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center is a part of the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and provides a comprehensive program of services that features the integration of education, counseling, evaluation and physical restoration in a barrier-free environment.
