Hillsdale College Announces Travel Opportunities, College Credit for High School Students
HILLSDALE, Mich., April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hillsdale College welcomes all rising high school juniors, seniors, and outstanding sophomores to earn college credit through Hillsdale's High School Summer Study and Travel programs. The programs, which include domestic and international travel, last for two weeks and are chaperoned and taught by Hillsdale College professors.
"Hillsdale College is pleased to offer these programs as a way to inspire high school students about some of the great ideas, events, and individuals that have shaped the Western world," said Doug Banbury, vice president for admissions at the College. "Students will travel throughout Europe and America, visiting key sites where the valor and leadership of great men and women contributed to the freedoms we have today. This is an exciting experience for all participants, and I strongly encourage rising juniors and seniors to apply and begin their college education by traveling with Hillsdale."
Summer travel programs are open to qualified rising high school juniors, seniors, and sophomores interested in any future college major. Students must apply for admission to the summer study programs. Application forms are available online. All courses begin with a short orientation and course instruction on Hillsdale's main campus.
Program costs include international flight from Detroit Metro Airport (where applicable), transfers between the airport and the Hillsdale College campus (where necessary), housing and meals on the Hillsdale campus, land travel via private buses, housing in quality hotels, breakfast and dinner each day while off campus, all entry fees to site visits, and tuition fees for three undergraduate Hillsdale College credits.
