Students of all ages can vacation in the world of ideas and study economics, history, literature, or politics at one of ten different seminars
New 2016 courses now available
HILLSDALE, Mich., Jan. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hillsdale College announced the full schedule for its 2016 Hillsdale Hostel programs. These multi-day seminars give students of all ages an opportunity to study economics, history, literature, politics, or religion with Hillsdale's nationally renowned faculty—the same professors who teach undergraduate and graduate students during the academic year.
"Hillsdale Hostels remind attendees of the enduring virtues of Western civilization," said Peggy Youngs, director of the Hillsdale Hostel program. "We call them 'a vacation in the world of ideas' because they allow students of all ages to experience college life as it should be: sharing insights, having lively discussions, making new friends. Hillsdale Hostels offer the learning experience of a lifetime."
Now in its 27th year, the Hillsdale Hostel program continues to grow. Ranging from three to six days in length, Hostels are designed around discussions led by members of the Hillsdale College faculty. Each Hostel program features lectures, lodging, meals, and other activities. Seminars take place at one of three locations: Hillsdale's main campus in southeast Michigan, the Rockwell Lake Lodge in northern Michigan, and the Kirby Center in Washington, D.C. Registration fees vary based on location.
