Hilliard Munoz Gonzales Reports: Paralyzed At Age 1 By General Motors, Parents Accept Fund's Award

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bob Hilliard, a Texas lawyer and one of the nation's key players in the pursuit of claims against GM announces that the parents of Trenton Buzard, have agreed to accept the settlement amount offered by Ken Feinberg.

THE CRASH
On April 2, 2009, ten days before Trenton Buzard's 2nd birthday, he was strapped in his car seat when his great-grandmother's 2005 Chevy Cobalt suddenly lost power steering and braking capabilities and collided, head-on with an on coming vehicle. She was killed and Trenton was left unable to move from the chest down, with a lifetime of medical care ahead of him. Today, his parents accepted Ken Feinberg's award to Trenton.

THE SETTLEMENT
Hilliard states, "Trenton's life care plan, that is, the cost to be sure he receives the gold standard of what he will medically need as well as what he can use to improve his mobility and quality of life was, extensive."

"Even after Trenton is grown he will be able to count on top-notch care and quality of life purchases to assist him in being independent and mobile."

Hilliard currently represents 90 families of victims who were killed and over 1300 individuals who were injured in General Motors' defective vehicle.
