The Detroit site encompasses 8± acres and is supported by an existing CSX rail spur with approximately 1,900 feet of track capacity for up to 26 railcars, along with the potential to add approximately 1,000 to 3,000 feet of track depending on specific use and design. The facility includes a 3,800± SF, two-story office building and a 600± SF scale house equipped with a fully operational and licensed 100-ton truck scale. Additionally, there are two 160-ton full draft, in-line rail scales. Located about 1.5 miles from CSXT's primary Detroit servicing yard, the property also offers the potential for rail service up to seven days per week when warranted by market demand. The Detroit facility is immediately accessible to I-75 and provides convenient connections to I-94, I-275, I-96, M-5, M-24, M-39 and Grand River Avenue. Situated less than seven miles from the Canadian border, this site has convenient access to both the Gordie Howe International Bridge and Ambassador Bridge. In February 2026, it was reported that Southeast Michigan moves approximately 428 million tons of freight annually, representing roughly $769 billion in goods, while 36% of U.S.-Canadian border trade crosses through Southeast Michigan ports of entry, highlighting the significant freight volume moving into and out of the state by rail.
