Highway to Promote Economic Development in Southwest China

The Guiyang - Luodian Highway, designed to be 112.913 kilometers in length, is an important part of the Yinchuan - Longbang Highway that was included in the planning of the National Highway Network.
The construction of the Guiyang - Luodian Highway will pave the way for the southward transportation of Guizhou province, fasten the step of urbanization and industrialization, and promote the regional economic development.
Zhou Zongwen, board chairman of Chow Tai Seng Jewelry, one of China's largest diamond jewelry retailers and wholesalers, said that the Guiyang - Luodian Highway will make it more convenient for the company to transport local Luodian White Jade.
Zhou said the company will invest tens of billions of yuan to exploit the white jade mine in Luodian County, which will provide tens of thousands of job opportunities for the local residents.
The construction of Guiyang - Luodian Highway, along with some other projects including the hydropower plants in Rongge and Shangjianpo of Mengjing River, will jointly benefit the local tourism industry, real estate development, new urban area establishment, and ecological aquatic farming.
