HighTower Adds TC Wealth Management, Expands New York Presence

CHICAGO, Jan. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- HighTower announces that TC Wealth Management has joined the HighTower Partnership. The new team oversees $550 million in client assets and is based in New York City. TC Wealth Management marks the first team of 2015 for HighTower, which completed a total of 13 transitions in 2014 and is on track to exceed that number this year.

J. Emmett Towey and J. Michael Cantore III join HighTower as Partners and Managing Directors. Most recently, they ran a successful team at UBS: Mr. Towey was a Senior Vice President of Investments and Corporate Stock Benefit Consultant and Mr. Cantore served as Senior Vice President of Investments, Portfolio Manager and Corporate Stock Benefit Consultant. The team also includes Director Michael G. Tobin and Operations Director Jennifer Doran from the Towey Cantore Group at UBS Wealth Management.

Mr. Cantore began his career at Citigroup Smith Barney, where he and Mr. Towey formed the Towey Cantore team before joining UBS in 2007.
