A part of the United States, St. Croix beckons as an easy getaway, requiring no passport or currency exchange. Rates at Divi Carina Bay, the island's only all-inclusive, are now discounted 40 percent for a three-night-minimum stay, beginning at $225 per day. A kid's club provides four hours of supervised activity per day, while two pools, lighted tennis courts, water sports center and mini-golf are other diversions for children and adults alike. St. Croix's only casino is located at the resort.

The high season rate has been pared 20 percent at the all-suite Divi Southwinds Resort on Barbados. Rooms start at $159 per night. The resort boasts the lively St. Lawrence Gap, an area of shops, restaurants and nightlife, running through the property, offering exciting activities and easy access to Barbados' famed restaurant scene.
