Higginbotham's Three Houston Offices Converge at Energy Tower I
Offices Move to 11700 Katy Fwy between Kirkwood and Dairy Ashford
HOUSTON, Feb. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Higginbotham, one of the largest independent insurance firms in the U.S. with more than 20 offices in Texas, has united its three Houston offices under one roof and one operating name. Chapman Schewe Benefits Consulting, Madison Benefits Group and Swantner & Gordon are partners in the Higginbotham group. They moved January 16, 2015 to a shared space in Energy Tower I at 11700 Katy Freeway. Coinciding with the move, the partners are adopting the Higginbotham corporate name.
Higginbotham has become a leading regional insurance firm by maintaining an organic growth rate that is above the industry average and by merging with other independent brokers that support its business philosophies and add geographic scale and service capabilities to its practice. Higginbotham entered the Houston market in 2008 when it merged with Madison Benefits Group. Swantner & Gordon followed in 2010 and Chapman Schewe in 2013, each time with its practice leaders becoming significant shareholders and managing directors. They collaborate and share resources with Higginbotham's other offices to provide the entire range of the firm's insurance, risk management and employee benefit solutions to businesses and individuals.
"Centralizing our partners in Houston will strengthen our practice because teamwork is the foundation of our single source service approach," said Higginbotham President/CEO Rusty Reid. "When we combine our experience and expertise, clients don't need more than one insurance broker or service provider. Together, we can provide any property, liability, life and health insurance policy as well as services like loss control, contract review, wellness programs, benefit communications and compliance, just to name a few. Now, our Houston partners can walk across the hallway instead of drive across town to brainstorm how best to deliver these services to the advantage of each client."
Managing Directors Harry Chapman, Jim Ledbetter and Dudley Ray who have led Chapman Schewe, Madison Benefits Group and Swantner & Gordon respectively, will collectively continue guiding Higginbotham's efforts in Houston. The combined workforce of 85 insurance and administrative professionals in Houston is supported by an additional 600 associates statewide.
