FORT WORTH, Texas, July 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- James Lombard, CSP, ASP, has joined Higginbotham as a senior loss control consultant to implement environmental, occupational and industrial safety programs that reduce risk and improve compliance for the firm's commercial insurance clients. Higginbotham provides complimentary loss control services to its property/casualty insurance clients through a risk management department staffed with more than 30 safety, claims, contract review and compliance professionals.
Higginbotham is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and ranked by revenue as the largest independent insurance broker based in the state. It operates 29 offices in Texas and Oklahoma City that collaborate to provide a single source solution for insurance and financial services. Higginbotham regionalized its operations in 2016 to accommodate continued growth and consistent quality of service. Lombard will serve the west Texas region.
"I first met James several years ago when he worked for an insurance and risk services provider that we represent," said Higginbotham's Managing Director of Risk Management Vance Lee. "I was impressed with his ability to effect change by identifying our clients' loss exposures and developing control measures to reduce their risk and prevent claims, fines and penalties. He will do the same for our west Texas clients and his added talent will enable us to keep growing in the Permian Basin."
Lombard was most recently a regional vice president of safety and loss prevention at E-Risk Solutions, Inc. in Austin, Texas. His environmental, health and safety career spans 18 years with private companies in Texas and New Mexico and the New Mexico Army National Guard.
Lombard is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and a licensed Texas Department of Insurance Adjuster and Texas Class A commercial driver. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the National Safety Council.
