NORCROSS, Ga., Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- It's official that Ionamin®, a diet pill marketed by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, will become available nationwide over-the-counter (OTC) soon. With the launch of the upcoming diet product Ionamin® from Hi-Tech, many retailers and online merchants are getting ready for the planned muli-million dollar ad blitz that is planned for the weight loss product with its spokesman MMA World Champion Holly Holm. "Our vision is to change the way people think about weight loss," said Jared Wheat, Hi-Tech's President and Chief Executive Officer. "People are really fed up because they are bombarded with hyped products, fad diets, that overpromise and underdeliver," Mr. Wheat said. "Ionamin® breaks through the clutter with straight talk, an honest voice, saying that losing weight is hard work, but with Ionamin® in your corner you can win the battle of the bulge."
Ionamin® is a quantum leap in the field of weight loss backed by two clinical studies — one showed an increase in the metabolism by 22% in 45 minutes*, and the second study showed Ionamin® users lost 208% more weight and 385% more fat than placebo**. The results seen with Ionamin® were compared by Hi-Tech Researchers to previous studies on Ephedrine — the Gold Standard for OTC diet aids. The findings were amazing as Ionamin® was found to be 66% stronger than 30mg Ephedrine and 152% stronger than 10mg Ephedrine.
Ionamin® has a multi-million dollar advertising campaign that has been launched as it was initially sold exclusively at the Nationwide Retailer Rite Aid. Hi-Tech distributors have now begun to take on the product and other major chains are in the process of placing orders. Ionamin® is a state-of the-art weight loss aid manufactured by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals - where science never stands still™!
"We know that being overweight has many adverse consequences," said Stephen Smith, Senior Vice-President for Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals. "The launch of OTC Ionamin®, along with diet and exercise, will help overweight adults who seek to lose excess weight to improve their health."
Hi-Tech expects to sell a lot of Ionamin® considering that more than a third of U.S. adults, 78.6 million, are overweight, according the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ionamin® is one of only a few OTC diet aids that is backed by not one, but two clinical studies. OTC dietary supplements are not required by law to undergo clinical studies, however, Hi-Tech believed it was important with a launch of this magnitude to be able to quantify for consumers what type of increase in metabolism and weight loss they could expect to lose in a 8 week period.
Ionamin® is a new weight and fat loss product from Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ("Hi-Tech") that is the provides a rapid onset of explosive energy and thermogenesis. Ionamin® incorporates an advanced delivery system to put the ingredient powerhouse into action. Hi-Tech chose to use Explotab®, which is remarkably effective for rapid disintegration and enhanced dissolution. The mechanism by which this action takes place involves accelerated absorption of water leading to an enormous increase in the volume of granules. This results in rapid and uniform disintegration leading to increases in the metabolism by 22% in 45 minutes; study analyses revealed no significant differences between conditions at baseline in values of VO2, VE, or RER. Results indicated that VO2 change scores for Ionamin® were significantly greater at all time points following ingestion (+22.1%, +18.9%, +15.9%, +12.6%, +8.4%) compared with PL (0.4%, -1.7%, -2.3%, -1.1%, 0.5%). Similar response patterns were observed for VE as VO2 with Ionamin®: (+26.6, +22.9%, +23.3%, +18.7%, +9.0%), and PL (-1.3%, -2.5%, -1.9%, -3.6%, +3.1%). The Ionamin® VE change scores were significantly greater than PL at 45 min, 90min and 3 hrs (p<0.05). The RER change scores with PL were within 2% of baseline values across the six hours of testing. In contrast, Ionamin® produced a pattern of declining values of RER over time to 9% and 11% below baseline at 4½ hrs and 6 hrs post ingestion, respectively, which were significantly less than PL.
"The nationwide launch of Ionamin® is an important development for men and women who struggle with being overweight with and need help with weight management beyond diet and exercise," said Jared Wheat, Hi-Tech's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We thank our entire team and the people who participated in our clinical trial programs for making this achievement possible." "The ideal candidate for a diet pill is to help people who are overweight is someone who uses the Ionamin® as a tool, along with diet and exercise," says Wheat. Ionamin® is revolutionary stimulant, fat loss aid, and helps people lose weight and feel great! Ionamin® works by mimicking the effects of our endogenous catecholamines such as epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine. The principal mechanism of its action relies on its indirect stimulation of the adrenergic receptor system, which is part of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), by increasing the activity of noradrenaline at the post-synaptic a- and ß-receptors. Ionamin® has indirect sympathomimetic effects and due to its ability to cross the blood brain barrier, it is a CNS stimulant similar to ephedrine and other stimulants as it releases noradrenaline and dopamine. This helps you feel like doing more activities resulting in additional weight being lost due to exercise when combined with Ionamin®.
Hi-Tech will manufacture and supply the finished commercial product from its FDA Registered Drug facility in Pennsylvania. Very few dietary supplement companies have a facility that is a FDA-Registered facility for Pharmaceuticals. Hi-Tech has (5) US based facilities totaling over 400,000 square feet, which is among the largest in our industry.
Ionamin® is a revolutionary stimulant, fat loss aid, and helps people lose weight and feel great, as shown in the change in mean total body weight of the Ionamin® group (-8.0 +/= 6.5 lbs) was significantly greater than the change in body weight observed in the Placebo group (-2.6 +/= 4.8) (p's < 0.05), and in the decrease in body fat weight observed in the Ionamin® group (-6.3 +/= 7.3 lbs) was statistically greater than the body fat weight loss in the Placebo group (-1.3 +/= 6.7 lbs) (p < 0.05). Ionamin® works by mimicking the effects of our endogenous catecholamines such as epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine. The principal mechanism of its action relies on its indirect stimulation of the adrenergic receptor system, which is part of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), by increasing the activity of noradrenaline at the post-synaptic alpha- and beta-receptors. Ionamin® has indirect sympathomimetic effects and due to its ability to cross the blood brain barrier, it is a CNS stimulant similar to ephedrine and other stimulants as it releases noradrenaline and dopamine. This helps you feel like doing more activities resulting in additional weight being lost due to exercise combined with Ionamin®.
Ionamin® users saw an Incredible 16.6 % increase in Resting Energy Expenditure (Metabolism) over the first 3 hours with an increase of over 14.5% in Energy Uptake over the entire 6+ hours! These findings also indicate that Ionamin® produced a substantial shift in energy substrate utilization with significantly greater levels of fat oxidation.
According to Jared Wheat, "Ionamin® really is the pre-eminent diet aid on the market right now because unlike most of the weight loss supplements on the market, it actually has two product-specific studies that provide evidence of efficacy. One study was conducted on Ionamin® and its effects on the metabolic rate***. The second study was an 8 week weight loss and fat loss study that showed it caused people to lose 208% more weight and 385% more fat than placebo! It is a product dieters can trust to help them achieve their weight loss goals." †
