HFS Consultants Names Sandy Haskins Managing Director of the Firm's Executive Search and Interim Placement Practice

OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- HFS Consultants (HFS), a management, financial, operational, regulatory, and strategic planning healthcare consulting company, announces that Sandy Haskins has been named managing director of the firm's Executive Search and Interim Placement practice area. Haskins has been with HFS since 2009 and has over 35 years in the healthcare business.

Haskins most recently spent two years as the interim CEO of a hospital that was under significant financial and operational stress. He guided the facility through a successful bankruptcy and gained local public support within the community for an eventual affiliation with a healthcare system that preserved the hospital. Other recent experience includes serving as interim CEO at an organization that operates 13 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).

Prior to his work with HFS, Haskins held positions as: interim senior management with two health systems; interim CFO for a publicly held biotechnology company; and business development executive at Ernst & Young's Health Sciences Advisory Services.

Haskins holds a B.S. and M.B.A. from Oregon State University. He is past president of the Healthcare Financial Management Association's (HFMA) Oregon chapter, and past national HFMA board member.
